Adventist Health System honored the following individuals at the awards ceremony during the Opening Banquet at Conference on Mission 2008:
Crystal Angel Award
Adventist Health System’s Crystal Angel Award was developed to acknowledge individuals for their significant contributions to the advancement of the Adventist healthcare mission. In addition, it recognizes outstanding leadership in specific mission-related achievements, projects and programs as well as overall spiritual leadership. This year, Crystal Angels were presented to Gary Jepson from Central Texas Medical Center and Carlyle Walton from Takoma Regional Hospital.
Christian Service Award
In acknowledgment of outstanding Christian example and in recognition of their compassionate and untiring service to others, two individuals were honored with the Adventist Health System Christian Service Award. The recipients this year were Linda Lynch from Florida Hospital Orlando and LeRoy Otter from Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Community Service Award
In acknowledgment of their generous contributions and the positive impact they have had on improving the quality of life in their community, Shauna Ferguson from the Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Sher Fox from Adventist Hinsdale Hospital received the Adventist Health System Community Service Award.
