Adventist Health System Executives Earn Top Healthcare Management Credentials
4/6/2007

Several Adventist Health System executives have been named Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leadership. The recipients of this high-level credential are:

Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. In fact, only 5,400 healthcare executives hold this distinction nationwide.

To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.

As a result, the recipients are privileged to use the FACHE credentials, which signifies board certification in healthcare management and ACHE Fellow status.

“Attainment of Fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives is the highest recognition one can receive from the professional organization of healthcare administrators,” said Don Jernigan, Adventist Health System President and CEO. “This attainment requires very significant work over a period of years on the part of an individual to improve their knowledge, skill, and professionalism as a healthcare executive.  Please join me in congratulating each of these individuals in attaining this very significant status.”
